Is there anything better than a Californian sunset after a long day of shooting? If there is, I don't think I've found it yet. Getting pushed into a wall over and over, tossed, and shot down the stairs makes for a solid first day of filming. Helping someones passion project come together is an intense experience. The work that goes into it is intense, but the feeling when the scene comes together, or when the stunt comes together, is even more incredible.
Through all the motivation, though, it is unavoidable to have those moments where the director says they want one more take and you cant help but groan internally. In those rare moments I thought back to that JAM audition (Blog #2 JAM Jitters) and it helped me to get past those moments by making me want to be better and to push myself to be a better stunt performer.
Using that and having a great crew and team, we got further into shooting than we were expecting, setting us up for a very successful second day of filming . I can't wait to continue to work with this crew and see this project come together. Maybe I can have another stair fall or two. Who knows... can't give away all the surprises just yet!
STAY TUNED for further updates on "Villa Assault!"
